#20 Week of February 18-24, 2018

Dear Family,

Thanks so much for your letter. Thanks for telling me about church. That sounds like a good meeting.

The pictures were awesome Austin... now what are the details? What in the heck is that fossil? It looks like a frowny face. Who are the people in the group picture? Nice chopping wood picture. How much wood do you chop in a week? (Pictures on elderaustinreiley.blogspot.com)

Haha - get this... that fossil is a super super old piece of dinosaur poop that our branch presidency found. And he just bought a fire truck for parades. And he just got a GATLING GUN!!!!! That thing is so cool! He is an awesome guy. President Barber is his name.

That is the Truhillos. Marvin and Sally. We had dinner over there and then a ton of people showed up. That was just in their house, it's a nice house.

For wood, we chop about enough to fill Carson's room a week. It's a ton, but I love it.

What scripture or scripture story do you like today, right now? Why?

I like the one about Alma and Amulek where they are teaching and people are getting thrown in the fire if they believe. But it shows the faith they have to continue to believe. That's how we need to be... not afraid of what we believe.

How was your zone conference with President Neilson? Who is President Neilson?

It was dang good, he has been to Tetonia in 2009, and has been to the stake a couple of times. He is in the 70. but we had that little connection which was really cool.

Have you tried anything you learned in the past week?

One thing he said was that there are going to be hard days. "Show the Lord how strong you are and do your best." I'm going to show him how strong I am.

We find new ways to ask people for other people. So I used, "Who do you know that has a lot of deer mounts in their houses. boy, it worked, they were not too interested but they are super nice, so it worked.

Did you get to spend more time in Tohajillee this week?

Ya, we were down there a little for the week, but not a whole ton. We taught the Plateros and chopped more wood, for a guy named Henry Monte forever, but I love it out there.

Did you get to brand cows?

We did not get to brand cows but we are still trying to help someone with them.

Did you get your package?

Ya I got my package. Thank you so much. I love it so dang much. And the jerky, that stuff is amazing. Tell Dallin thanks so much for it.

Are you getting Hayden's letters? (Austin's cousin)

Yes, I am getting them. It sounds like he is doing good.

Do you get a chance to write to grandparents and friends regularly or just whenever?

I don't really write on a regular basis but when I have time I send letters. I sent a package to Carson for his birthday.

Do you want to get letters in the mail? I feel badly that I haven't written to you actual handwritten letters!

Oh ya! I love letters in the mail. It's awesome. The address is 1440 Presidential Drive North East Suite E, NM 87109.

What is something good about your week and what is something not so good?

One bad thing was that Elder Corn was sick so I was stuck in the house for four days. It was rough. But something good about that was I got some good studies in and I drew some pictures.

What is something that you are looking forward to?

I am looking forward to my new companion, I hope that he is a good one. I have been praying for that a lot.

What else do you want to tell us about your week?

Well this week we got a new branch presidency in Tohajiilee so that's pretty big,but we know that it is going to be a good one. this week was pretty dead, but the next one will be better.

Thank you so much. I love to get you email, it makes me so glad to see those. All the missionaries say that time goes by fast but I don't believe it. It's going by pretty slow now. But it might change.

Love you all have an awesome week.

Love, Elder Reiley
