Wow, I'm not going to lie, I never thought I would miss the snow this much. It is weird. It was like 75 a couple of days ago and I just knew it was snowing back home. Ya, I will tell Sister Allred that you liked the postcard. I like how Carson is into basketball now, the sports just keep going but that is how I like it. Ya, I know how you all feel about tbeing here in the dark at 5:30, it is brutal because now people feel like they should go to bed!
So, to answer your questions:
How do you find happiness each day?
I find happiness by thinking of my family. I'm not geting cheesy or anything, but I reall do find happiness when I can think of how close we are and what we all do to be strong members of the church.
How do you stay positive?
Staying positive is kinda hard sometimes but you really have to look at it like there is always Satan that is constantly beating on you, and do you want to lose? HECK NO!!!! You got to put that little weisel back in his place with authority. That's how I stay positive, just to beat Satan every moment I have the chance to.
What do you love about the Book of Mormon?
I love that I can read the Book of Mormon and find a slight bit of direction every day that I read it. It always has something God wants to tell me.
What interesting/funny experience did you have this week?
HaHa, well on Saturday I put up 265 in bench and I have the video to prove it. But I can't think of anything really too exciting about this week.
My week:
Monday - Well, we carved pumpkins as a zone. I will see if I can send you a picture of what it was. I ran out of ideas, so I just did whatever. Oh man, then we had some pretty good ribs that night too.
Tuesday - Food bank service again then we went to volleyball with an investigator which is pretty fun. Then we had splits that night and I got a preview of what the lights show is going to be so I think it will be really cool. I'll take some pictures when it comes.
Wednesday - Well today was brutal because we had to walk everywhere because of the miles on our car, ya, it was brutal, but we got some rides from members so I guess it was not the end of the world. But hey, I did get some new church shoes from a member and they are pretty nice. Kinda old man shoes, but hey, I like theold time stuff anywhays, so I took them. Then we went to our investigator's house, Roberta, and we carved pumpkins there too. It was great watching Elder Seto go and carve one, because he has never done one before. Then we did a little work at the bishop's store house and then went to the trunk or treat. Haha, there are a lot of nutso's out there, but I guess if you didn't have them, nobody would dress up. We got a pile of candy out of that deal.
Thursday - Well, we ended up building houses for a long time. I was with a couple of city elders that had no idea what was going on so I had to help them out a little bit. It was interesting watching them swing a hammer;) then we had that dadgum weekly planning, but after that we were super hungry and the ward had a pot luck of soups. It was cold outside and we got a ton of soup so it was nice. Then we got to play basketball that evening.
Friday - We had exchanges. It was brutal becauswe I had to stay down here again and haul around another missionary, but we made some good stuff happen. We put together a kind of sketchy bed frame, then we went to Golden Corral again for dinner. Wow, it was something else.
Saturday - Well, we had a lot of strikes today. We tried to stop by a ton of people and it was brutal because not very many of them were home. But after tryingpeople, we finally got in and shared a lesson with Mary. Itwas one of the better lessons with her. I will say that. Oh, we did have an interesting dinner. There were people athaactually knew where Tetonia was. The Mosers. They are pretty cool. He said he reffed up in Teton, but I did not say anything because I didn't want him to know me;) Ha Ha, but it was really good to talk about what he knew about home.
Sunday - We blew the old record out of the water, and we got 8 investigartors at church. It was a miracle to have all of them come to church. I bore my testimony so I thought that was really good. I think it helped them out. then we had dinner at the Law's house. We had biscuits and gravy for dinner. Overall it was still pretty good.
Yep, that was about my week. I loved it and it was super fun. Hey I figured out that Elder Seto is leaving on the 12th, so if you could pray that I get a good companion and stuff that would help. Well, thanks a ton family for all that you do for me. I love you all so much. Have a great week.
Elder Reiley
