#37 June 17-22, 2018

Dear Family,

Oh my heck, it had to be when I was on the mission. I missed the whole thing!!! And ya, I am laughing pretty hard. (Jeff had a little mishap out at the ranch that involved the creek and a few stitches... something about dad and mishaps cracks his boys up). But I'm glad you guys had fun out there.

My basketball shoes are holding up fine for now. Ya for the package could send me some more Nike socks and some contact stuff with the red cap thing? Thanks mom.

Good grief, that sounds like a heck of a couple of fears... I don't know if I would be in for that either! (Family history story: Austin's great great grandma lived by Grantsville by a reservation and the Indians would just look in the windows/doors and scare her; there was a crazy lady that would yell stuff and jump out from behind bushes and scare people)

How did you meet the people that you re teaching?
We met them by a member, Delores Apache they are her nieces, kinda a handful, Christian and Njone. and Dahune.

When you get to teach, is there something that you prefer to teach about?
like to talk about the Book of Mormon and then tie it to the Restoration. They say if you don't know what to talk about, talk about Jesus Christ, so they go right together.

How is the phone project going?
The phone deal is not too bad, but I still don't like it but I am figuring some of it out a little at a time.

Are you happy?
Yes I am happy and very hot, but all good. I really want to at leas stay one more transfer or a month on the res, but transfers are coming up and I might be out of there. I hope not yet.

My Week:
Monday - After email one of the elders that is going home had 2 gift cards to Red Robin so we went there for lunch and it was very good.

Tuesday - We did a pile of more work on the phones transferring all the paper stuff to the phones and that is brutal. Then we went by Sally and Marvin's and he wants to take us on a bunch of stuff that we are excited for, like rodeos and on and on.

Wednesday - We had interviews with President Guffey. It wasn't too bad and we got wear our new suits from Anthony. Then we went on splits for the day because we had to come back for Thursday. I rode bike in 103 degree and man, my hat goes off to them for riding around in that heat. Then we had a fry bread making meeting we made our own and I'll tell you... you got a treat coming. That stuff is so stinking good it makes my mouth water. Before, I had never heard of it.

Thursday - We did not do much until we got to the city, we got Arby's for dinner and went to a baseball park and watched these kids have their practice. Then conditioning came and the kids did theirs and they started saying coaches turn, so the coach totally calls us out to come in and help them, so we did. We were racing against the coaches around the baseball field in boots and all... oh man, it was fun.

Friday - We had district council. I gave a sister a blessing because her knee has been having some problems. Then we had a dang good dinner with Sister Lazreo.

Saturday - We went to Tohajiilee and went to a party for a member that just graduated. They had some dang good food and we talked to a convert that was so sweet. She reminded me a lot of Rachelle. Then after awhile we went and had ice cream with Taylor, the one we baptized in March. That was really fun. It was good to see her again.

Sunday - Church was good. I learned we need to keep on doing the little things or they turn into really big things and makes it harder. Then we had another lesson with Njone and Christian and on our way back we blew a tire, like bad bad. But we found a rock and some stuff out in the desert to help with our jack so we got to fix that in 100 degree heat too, so that was real fun clear out in the middle of nowhere.

But that is my week. I liked it. I am looking forward to another one.

You all have another good one too, remember to put Jesus Christ at the center of your life.

Elder Reiley
