#38 June 24-30 2018

Dear Family,

To answer your question about what interviews are like with President Guffey - they are just who are you teaching, companion getting along, just kind of a check up deal

That is cool that you saw Jenna and Bridger. Tell them I said hi.

Yes, I got the package and thanks so much.

To answer your question about how i feel about the Holy Ghost - my thoughts on the Holy Ghost would be that he really is never not by you. Ya, he might be off in the distance, but he is always there to guide you and help you make the best choices in life that make you who you are. I like this quote, "you have to be willing at any moment to sacrifice what you are now to what you will become." The Holy Ghost helps the most with that.

You asked what I like about studying and what I didn't like. I'll answer that - I like to study it because it really opens the door for things that are in the future, not just for now and I know that it is only going to bless me more and more in the times to come. And it helps others know the best thing for them. Hard is to study all of it. There is so much in the gospel where it is really hard for me to understand it all in an hour of personal study. I like the first part of the Restoration. I love it because it really lets people know that there is someone for them, even when the times are so so bad.

What I look forward to is the Fourth of July. We have some fun stuff coming up. I hope so, I think it will be really fun.

You asked if there was one person on my mission that influenced me and i can't say that one person has influenced me the most because everyone has their part in this. I have learned from just about everyone.

My Week:

Monday I played some sweet basketball and I'm still undefeated, but I kill for basketball or a good sweat every p-day.

Tuesday - We moved some big ol' heavy burning barrels. They were all rotted out so we moved them and those guys were heavy, but it felt good to do that.

Wednesday - Man, so some missionaries told us about a horse ranch that needed help with service, so we were all over that and we helped them unload hay and shovel their arena. Overall we had a pile of missionaries there and it felt good to be around horses and stuff.

Thursday - We did some more service by helping Alva with her chicken coop. We screwed in some stuff and made it a little better for the summer, but that was really nice to help her with that for sure.

Friday - Not much happened but we stopped by some people and they gave me a Navajo bible and told me that I can learn to read Navajo, so we will see how that one goes.

Saturday - man, this day was fun. We were over on our miles because they give us a certain amount of miles per month and we were over, so we had to bike. Elder Smithson had a bike, but I had to borrow one from a guy 7 miles away. So we started walking; man, it was brutal, but on a big hill we found a way to fit 2 guys on one bike. I stood on the pedal and he rode like a side saddle deal, so we were hauling down this hill. We had a good time biking.

Sunday - We had fast Sunday and man, I'll tell you, that is a beast for sure. We helped the Plateros with their cow chute, so I was loving that, even though it was pretty hot.

But that is my week. I am ready for another one, so I hope all goes good for you all this week too.

Love you all

Elder Reiley
