#49 September 9-15, 2018

Dear Family,

Who was the investigator that you gave a church tour to?
That lady's name was Roberta and she is an investigator and she wanted to see what the church looked like on the inside, so we gave her a tour.

Who was the guy that came to visit from the reservation?
The guy that came to see me from the reservation was Jason. We branded cows together.

What is the Shadowbox again?
It is just a run down apartment complex that we have a couple of investigators that live there.

How do you feel about being a trainer, and what changes will you make in your daily routine to be a successful trainer?
Well a trainer is really different. I'll say that it has really been an experience.Just the changes is you have to really explain what we are doing instead of just doing it, but it is pretty easy so far.

Do you need anything?
I might need some contact stuff with the red lid and a strawberry lemonade but that should do it for now.

What was the funniest/most unusual thing that happened this week?
The funniest thing was having some dang dang hot enchiladas and watching Elder Seto gag down cough and cry literally. I was laughing so hard, but it was a battle for me too, so we were both just in agony the whole day.

Dang it. I thought the Browns would actually have a win this year for crying out loud. But overall it n like everyone is doing a good deal back home, so that is good to hear.

Monday we went to the temple for Monday it was a really good deal for me. I got a big spiritual boost from that, so it was really good to have that scene of almost half way done better make it worth it. So that was good. Then I had a pretty good steak at Owls. It is not a bad place, but still it was kinda creepy with all the fake owls looking at you.

Tuesday was half a p-day and we did service for a guy and got some stuff out of his attic. Then we got breakfast. Holy cow, I took advantage of that... pancakes and bacon galore. It was super good. Then we had a lesson with Roberta and ended up playing with her dogs for awhile. They are really like her kids, so it's weird but they are fun. We had dinner with the Green family. They are really cool and I like them. They crack a lot of jokes and they have 3 boys that are a bunch of trouble makers but cute little guys.

Wednesday was the day with the enchiladas. Oh man, it was funny. We weeded some lady's yard with some other missionaries. We knocked down a hornets nest and we had to run, but we did get them all after awhile. Man, then we had the Romney dinner. This family is sweet and all the kids are pretty young and the mom is always putting food on us. And the dad is sweet. He doesn't care, and has no filter about people. It is really funny to listen to them.

Thursday we had to do that dad gum weekly plan. It was brutal, but we got it all done. Haha. Then we went to the Zamoras way out in the middle of nowhere. They are really cool. We ended up jumping on their tramp with their kids and it was super funny to watch them jump. Then we had a sketchy dinner. We went to a house and the lady that we had texted for it had passed out from her meds so then a guy answered the door and he was super high. But we had a deal where they had 2 containers and we just passed them around. So it was weird, but we did eat.

Friday was district council. We went and then we ordered pizza, and boy, that meat lovers was amazing! Then we had a lesson with Christina and she is really doing a good job too. Then we had some exchanges. Elder Seto went to Alamogordo and we took Elder Alexander at the same time so it was not too bad there. We went to Applebees that night and it was really good. Oh ya, then we got invited to a Mexican fiesta. Wow. Those Mexicans go all out. Wow. I'll send you some pictures.

Saturday we had to help the Relief Society with setting up a big ol' meeting where all the women from the stake went to. IT was brutal. At the lunch deal Elder Bushman, a senior missionary said, "Well it looks like we have to get a salad." I said "I am not going to get a salad." and he said "No, you're getting one, period." I looked down the table and it was all salad. I have never seen a table so long with all just salad!!! After that we went to the shadowbox and we ended up playing a game of football in a parking lot and we won. Then we went to the Nelsons, another sweet family. They are really cool. They ended up jumping on their tramp and Brother Nelson got on there and tried to crack the egg. It was a good night.

Well, that is my week. It was a really good week, and I enjoyed this one. I hope that your week goes good too. I love you all.

Elder Reiley
