#54 October 7-13, 2018

Dear Family,

It sounds like you had a good week. That's cool that Justin won the dunk contest!!!!! Man, my hat goes off to that guy. That's cool the girls soccer is going to state, I bet the Browns are pretty excited about that. As fr as my year mark, I didn't do anything real special or anything, but it was cool to burn a shirt. ya, I burnt one. Wow, that is so weird that everyone is getting home, but I bet it is cool to see all of them at home. No deer... man that's too bad. I know a big guy is coming shortly. But, man, it is good that there are a lot of geese around.

Ok, for those questions you asked me, the answers are in the apartment right now, but I will see if I can get them later today. I did write some stuff down. I didn't look for a package yet, but I will check today. Thanks. Ok, sweet, I will do good on this one, thanks a ton mom.

My week:
Monday we went shopping and Elder Palmer bought some cowboy boots. Then I gave it to the zone leaders in basketball and that felt good to light them up. Then we had a pretty good dinner. I am getting fed pretty good out here, but the same time, it is not the greatest food... but I'll eat it.

Tuesday we cleaned the apartment then got a ton of free stuff so that was a bonus because they are shutting an apartment down, so we took some good stuff from there. Then we had service and that was not too bad. It was at the food bank, that stuff is easy. I tie bags super fast now. Then we went to the lunch where it's a bunch of older guys and we go to this place to eat, so we got invited. It was pretty good. Then we went to interviews again. I swear we have those so often, it is weird. But then we had a dinner with the Cooks, they are pretty cool, they are a young couple and they are sweet. We had a good time there.

Wednesday we had service at the food bank. It was pretty chill again, then we went on a really cool road that we have never been on. We were trying to find this lady's house. It was out in the country, so it felt so good to be out there again. We took a nice little drive. HaHa, get this... we were at Roberta, a lady we are teaching, and she was tired of the doves coming and pooping on her window, so she took a BB gun and killed 2 of them. Then get this... she told us to breast it all out, we were confused, but did it. I showed Elder Seto how to do it, then she took the meat inside and , not kidding, cooked it on the spot and gave it to us! Wow, it was not that bad, but we were just a dumbfounded. Then we got to go to our apartment and there were some kids playing volleyball, so it was fun because we got to play with them for a bit.

Thursday was the year marker... well I"m not going to lie, we did not do anything real exciting until the evening, where we went to dinner and a young couple put on the movie, Mobsters and Mormons. It was good to see that again. But we went over to the volleyball pit and we played again with some really good people. Since Elder Seto is from Samoa, he likes volleyball a ton, so it was good to get some playing in. Oh ya, then I got to burn my shirt!!! It is super weird that I have been out 1 year. I was looking at my entry in my journal, and I could tell I was white-eyed! But it was a good day.

Friday we moved a bed then got a free breakfast which was really nice because we never get breakfast, so it was good to get that. Then as we were driving, we saw a kitten on the side of the road all messed up, so Seto grabbed it, and we gave it to Christina and she said she would give it a good home, so that was fun to have done that. We ate at the bishop's house which has some pressure to go with it, but the family and the bishop are really cool. This kid had a deal that Nintendo made where it is stuff he makes out of cardboard and he programs it with little chips and stuff to play a video game on the TV. My mind was blown and it was way over my head. Then we got to go play basketball and soccer with the YSA.

Saturday... man, I can't remember a whole lot, we did service with the NMAM girls' basketball team. The lady said just show up and we didn't know they were going to be there, but they were actually pretty cool. They had a big old pit bull and a rottweiler. They They were cool to pet, even though they were stinking huge. We went down to the Shadowbox that night and the cops were there, so we taught a lesson to a lot of people because they did not want to talk to the cops. Ha. That was funny.

Sunday we had church and then we went to that lady's house again, but it was raining, so we didn't get the best view of the countryside, but it was still pretty cool. It is really nice to see all the rain for once and the temperature is cooling off so I am loving that. Then we had a dinner at this family's place where they live so far away so they came to pick us up. There was a guy that was pretty old in a wheelchair and it was a little interesting trying to get him up the stairs in a wheelchair because he aint little, but we had a nice dinner and got back in the dark. It is nice to to have all the street lights all over. So, Sunday was pretty good too.

Well, that is my week. Nothing too exciting, but I hope you liked the email. I love you all and hope you have another good week.

Love,
Elder Reiley
