Dear Family,

In reference to the first district baseball game that went 10 innings (almost 4 hours).

Oh man, I am so glad you all beat Sugar! That is the best in a really close game too.

In reference to me going to a health conference.

Oh ok whoa... now slow down here. Mom got on a plane and flew to California and then on top of that you went to stinking Disneyland? Good night! That must have been cool.

In reference to the Mother's Day talk.

Right now we have planned for 6:00 p.m. on Sunday for our talk. We will do the face time deal again, so just be ready for that. But ya, I'll get some stuff together for you.

In reference to a family history story (I try to tell him one each week) - grandpa had appendicitis, grandma had to drive to the hospital in a stick-shift car. She had never driven one before. 

I think that would have been the longest car ride for grandpa for sure. I can just imagine grandma trying not to freak out while learning how to drive a stick shift! :)

Question: Do you have a favorite scripture right now? If you do, what is it and hwy is it your favorite?

One scripture that I really like is Proverbs 3:5-6. I have it memorized from the time you had it on the fridge and told us to do it and it really has helped me out here. It is like my go to when someone needs something.

What experiences from before you mission have helped you while you are on your mission?

I would say farm and ranch work. I have met a ton of new people just because I know what they are doing and I know how to do it. but it has really opened the door for me because, we can gain their trust just by doing that. Another thing that helps me now is knowing how to work. President Guffey said that he likes Idaho farm boys because they know how to work. 

What else do you want to tell us about your past week?

We branded again this week. I'll send you some pictures, but I could do that all day. Yes,I am sore, but it is so nice to get out of the shirt and tie and go wrestle with some cows. I was just covered in dirt, but it felt so good.

I am doing good down here. Me and Elder Smithson are getting along great and I am still just chugging away at it. I try not to look at how long I have been out or how long I have left. Really, just focusing on the day.
