HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Sounds like everyone had a good time.
I know I need to keep working on the phones and they are not the best, but I am figuring some things out about them that I am really liking, not really but I tell myself that I am.
I feel bad that Uncle Alan got hurt. I guess shoeing a big ol' draft horse can do a lot of damage! Tell him I hope he can get back to feeling better.
Thanks for the family history story. It goes to show you that an experience like that only grows your faith in Heavenly Father.
What is the best thing about the Book of Mormon?
The best thing about the Book of Mormon is that you can always find new stuff in there to read about. You can share with other people. I really like it because it is a life saver when somebody needs something comforting.
What do you want to tell us about your week?
Monday - we played some good basketball but not for long because we did not have a key to get in, but once we did we took advantage of it.
Tuesday - We had to work for a guy and had to shovel dirt for a long time in the 102 degree heat. Holy cow I would give anything to be back in 45 degree weather. It is way stinking hot out here and people really have to stay inside because it is so hot!
Wednesday - We went to Alvas and she made a hot cherry pie. Whoa, man it was good even though it was hot outside, that pie was great. Then we had to do a pile of the area book stuff. That takes so long. I hate that stuff because it just eats your entire day.
Thursday - We found 2 new investigators. Wow, it was really crazy. Tohajiilee never has that, but we got them and we are teaching them now. Then for dinner, we don't really eat with a lot of people so we went to 5 Guys and I can't tell ya how much I miss that burger! It hit the spot.
Friday - We went on exchanges with the zone leaders, and I was in Albuquerque again and with Elder PItcher. He is a good Elder. I like him a ton, so we got to walk some high $$$$$$$ dogs for a lady. They were no bigger than a couple of footballs, and the lady is such a crazy dog lady - 100,000 of them running around her house. We went to the dog park (yes, they really do have those), but we did not dare go in because the dogs were gig and the dogs we had would get tossed around pretty easy. So we went to the baseball field and watched some baseball. That was the best. I missed baseball so much. I want to get in a league or something when I get back. The best part of all was I met a die hard Cleveland fan for all sports! I was pumped.
Saturday we worked out in the morning at this guy's garage. He has weights and stuff, so I benched and my max has gone up a little which is really weird. But I am not complaining. And we got to run in the rain on the way back. He had a couple of lessons in Albuquerque and then we went to Laguna Burger and ate. It was really good, then we went to a bbq after that. Man, we were stuffed but it was still really good.
Sunday we went to church and then had a lesson with our investigator. My arms were so tired because I forgot to say that earlier in the week we helped the Plateros with their concrete the really old way. We mixed gravel, sand and concrete mix all together in an old hood of a car, then we took it off with shovels for like 3 hours. It felt so good to get dirty, but it was a beast!
But that is my week. I hope you all have another one just like it. I love you all.
Elder Reiley
