#65 December 23-29, 2018

Yes, I did get the Christmas gifts from grandparents. Oh, that is bad about the tractor. It has problems, but it sounds like you had a good week. I am happy that it was all good, other than the tractor.

What is the best part of your day?
My favorite part of the day is probably the dinner at the members' houses even though even not all of them are the best, it is still nice to make those connections.

What will stick with you from your last Christmas season in the mission field?
I would say, how everyone can be so mean and bad in the year, but in this time they seem to lighten up a bit.

How was this Christmas different than last Christmas on the Reservation?
This Christmas was different because of the people I was around. It was all just kinda new and stuff, so it was JUST KINDA a shock because I could remember all that I was doing last year.

What is one (or more) goal you have for this new area that you are serving in?
I am going to try and take over the area in a few weeks so I really will pay attention on how to get around and stuff. And the people as well because I am not the best with names here.

What do you know about the Book of Mormon?
The Book of Mormon can really help us no matter what stage we are in, good or bad, it always helps us in the hard times and not the hard times.

My Week:
Monday - Well it was interesting. I went golfing and ya, it did not go very well, but man, it was pretty fun mainly because I was not the worst one there. There were tons of geese and I was a little distracted! Then I had a little bit of basketball and played some there then got our shopping out of the road and had a dang good Christmas dinner. It was impressive - like Thanksgiving.

Tuesday - Got up and opened a few presents. I had breakfast at Dan's house. He is a sweet recent convert and made a pretty good breakfast. the we played fetch outside with his 2 border collies and called the family. Then we went to the Padock family and played some board games and had dinner, so not too bad for a missionary!

Wednesday - Food bank - ya this one is a little different because there are a ton of homeless people there and they are just crazy, but for them ost part it was just funny to watch. We had a big ol black security guard that was super cool and funny. Then I had to get my whole phone deal set up and that took forever because you know how much I love that. Then our dinner canceled too so we just made our own. You get to experiment a lot for food and over all if you throw a bunch of food you like all together, ya, it is good stuff.

Thursday - We went to a cool Mexican lady. She can talk and loves the missionaries, but she is not a member, so we are working with her. We had a good time there. Then we did our weekly planning - yikes. Then we had a lesson with Heather and she took us to Dions pizza. HaHa that was funny because Elder Nelson has a cold and he was trying to eat and was just dying because he couldn't breathe. Oh man, it was pretty good.

Friday - Ya, Elder Nelson woke ups sick so we spent the whole day inside. We had some deer and elk pictures and we taped them to cardboard and put pins in the end of our darts and had a game with our nerf guns. Ya, it was pretty fun.

Saturday - We woke up and went to basketball thinking he would feel better but it wasn't the best deal but it was good for me to get out and play a little. Then we did the same thing.

Sunday - Church was good and he was still down and he finally just slept. It was a brutal week, but still I mean a week is a week and some are better than others.

But that is my week. I hope you all are enjoying the SNOW! I miss it. I am in a cold snap right now and it is great. I love you all. Have a great week.

Elder Reiley
