#79 March 31-april 6, 2019

Family,

As far as the conference talk that I liked a lot it was in the Priesthood session by Elder Stevenson - that one I loved it. I took it like make your playbook and study it, so you already know what you can do in advance before it [temptation] gets to you.

Thanks for the email, it sounds like a kinda slow week for sure, but that is ok, then the next one might be a little faster.

My Week:
Monday - We went down to Sante Fe and a few of us went to this plaza. It's like a tourist deal where people buy stuff but get this, I was going to get a turquoise buckle. Ya, that went out the window real quick there was one for like $850! Then there was another one for $1,600! Holy Cow! I about fell over, so I walked out on that! Then we played some real good basketball and it was super fun. Then we had dinner with the Barrones they are super good people.

Tuesday - So today we did our studies and then we had a little lunch and tried to talk to a few people and then we had to talk to a girl and her crazy mother. You would not believe it. Ya, it is not too good, but we had to calm her down so that was interesting. Then we had our dinner with Sister Martinez. She is super old but she has been sharing the missionaries dinner for like years she is super cool. Then we had ward council, and I never said a word, the ward just took over.

Wednesday - Interviews with President Guffey and that was good. We had to drive all the way down there and its like a hour and a half drive, so that was brutal. Then we came back and we had to go find a few people. Nope. The people down here reject us, but they do it in a really nice way, so that is really good. Then we went to the Phillips and they fed us so that was really nice of them, he wants to take me fly fishing sometime and I am so excited to do it.

Thursday - So Thursday we went out to an investigator's place and he told us that he liked having us over, but he found a Baptist church and said he was going there so we ended up reading 2nd Nephi 2 with him, and it was all about choices and it was really good but once we were done he had a bad atttitude towards us. So I knew he wasn't going to change so I kinda told him to straighen up. We told him we would still pray for him and stuff, but it was really frustrating for me because he was so close. Then we drove clear to the edge of our area I was right next to Brendon Warburton's mission. I looked at Colorado so that was cool. There was this house out in the middle of nowhere. He had a ranch so I said, let's ask him if he needs help. It turns out they are are hard core members that go to Colorado, because it's closer to them so that was super weird. We were just saying what are the odds of that? They always come over the dunes like in St. Anthony so we talked about that for awhile, so that was cool, then we had dinner with the Lunds. They are really cool he is pretty funny. We skipped rocks on their pond for a while.

Friday - District council was today and it was the same deal, so it was pretty good. Then we came back and we had to work on this lady's car so we worked on it and it was pretty easy. They had to go get a part, so we stayed there and explored. We climbed a big ol' ridge and it was fun. No sheds, but it was a heck of a view. Then we went to dinner and the Romos and there house, it literally my dream house. I love that place. It is super old school, so that was cool. then we went to the car again, and finished then talked to her for a while. That was good to have.

Saturday - Conference was good. We just watched it at the church and not a lot of people came so we just watched it alone, then we went to the houses behind the church and found like 8 new people to teach so that was awesome, then we watched the next one and then went out and found a few more people. So today we went and got a bunch of new people so I was stoked about that.

Sunday - More conference. I liked  bunch of it - well, pretty much all of it. So then we went to the people and long story short, for Sunday and in the last 2 days we ended up finding 16 new people! So we set a new record for Taos! So the last part of my week was awesome. I loved it. I have never found that many people in that amount of time on the mission. then we went to Diego's and we ate with them. He made us some ribs, so that was awesome; he is awesome. I love that guy.

But that is about it for my week, so it was really good. Hope this next one goes good for you all too. Love you all.
