OK to start off could you send me Allan's email? The girl we are teaching still wants to get baptized but she lives like 2 and a half hours away from our area. Her grandma here is how we found her and have lessons with her. I wanted Allan's email because she is in the Farmington mission and I thought he might have the missionaries numbers there that might be in her area.
Carson is at district tournament... whenever I walk in that gym I remember when you hucked the ball down the court (in disgust if I remember right... :)) and it swished right in!
Oh man, I still remember that like it was yesterday. That is cool that you can remember that. I hope they beat them all, that would really be the best thing in the world.
Do you get the church magazines?
We get the Ensigns, but that is a bout it. They are really good.
Are you keeping healthy? I saw a thing where a lot of missionaries are sick with the flu.
Oh ya, I'm healthy. There are a pile of them that are sick but I haven't got it yet and hope that I can stay with it not to get it.
Have you had the deer dinner yet?
Oh ya man the deer dinner was so dang good. They got some crazy ways of cooking it buyholy cow it is good. They told me to send a deer down to them when I get back and I just said, Ok, I'll see what I can do.
Is there a particular topic you like to teach or leave a message about?
The main message is just to tell them that they are never alone and God really is there and does love them. It seems to work good for what we have to work with.
What is your favorite p-day activity to do?
I like to go to the stake center and play a real good game of basketball, that is my favorite. Another zone challenged us to a game today, so we are going to go play up on them today.
Do you ever get to tell people about your home? If so, what do you tell them?
I tell them I am from Idaho, just a small town, grew up on like a farm-ranch with lots of fields and trees and it is super pretty there. Lots of good stuff to do so it's pretty good.
Have you had an answer to prayer?
Well a prayer that got answered was not to be so nervous for the area and stuff, and it really feels like it is not that bad, like I can do this, but I'm going to need the Lord's help too.
What are some of the differences between the youth there, and here? (Or are there any teenagers?)
As of out here on the rez, there is like 1 or 2 teenagers. There is no youth at all. There are not even kids that come to church. I think I am the youngest one here.
Have you attended any other cultural events this past week?
We did not go to any this week but we have a few of them lined up for next week and then on the 11th, there is another 1 year old birthday party, so that should be interesting.
What is the main sport kids there are into (if any)?
Nothing out there in Laguna, in Albuquerque, everyone is on their phones, holy cow, it is terrible here. I thought Idaho was bad, they cannot put it down to save their lives. But some of them like to play basketball that is what I would say the main sport is.
Have you figured out how to send pictures yet?
Ya, I'll see if I can send you some of them today. I got some good ones I think. (he did not send any pictures...)
I can't think of any more questions for now; is there anything you want to tell us about your past week?
No, this week has been really good. I met the old mission president. He came down here, and he knows Driggs, so that was kinda cool. His name is Steven Miller.
Thank you so much. I love you all so so much and I hope so much that everybody has a great week.
Love,
Elder Reiley
