#25 March 25-31, 2018

Dear Family,

That sounds like a good week. Man, the Philippines that is going to be an eye opener for him and I am so excited to hear where the other boys go.

What did you think about General Conference?

General conference, that was nuts! By far the craziest one I have heard but I think it will be for the best, but still a big leap!

What was your favorite talk, if you had one, and why?

Oh man I liked them all, the one thing that really stuck out to me was President Russell M. Nelson's talk about getting personal revelation. That one really hit home.

Were any of your questions answered; and did you feel like you got the boost you were looking for?

Yes, I got a couple of them answered and did I ever get a boost. That sparked a little something in there, so I'm looking forward to it.

Did you spend conference time at member's houses, or at the church?

We did a little bit of both. We had 3 sessions at members and 2 at the church, right after Taylor's baptism.

How was Taylor's baptism? You said you were nervous to do it... tell us all about it. How did you feel? How was Taylor? did she have any family attend?

Man, Taylor's baptism was sweet!!! Ya, I was dang nervous, but it all went well. Her mom and grandma gave great talks and I got to do the baptism - that is what I was so nervous about  but I didn't mess up and it was all good. Ya, most of her family was there and most of them are nonmembers too, so that was a really cool experience for them all. And Taylor is all good, she is super excited and she's all in.

Does it EVER rain?

No, it does not rain and not a lot at all and it feels like beginning of summer. Ya, it is warming up and getting hotter but not too bad yet.

Was there much of an Easter celebration on the reservation?

Easter was really good. The natives believe in Jesus Christ so I guess you could call them Christians. But their Easter deal is where they make a bunch of food for their clan children so they can all remember their clans. And it turns out they put me in a clan of Big deer and Little sun, so I got some good stuff from all of them. But it is kinda weird, but still a cool experience.

What was the best thing about your past week?

I would say the best thing would be Saturday, with Easter and the baptism and conference. I will never have another experience like that in my whole life so it was really cool to have all that happen in one.

What was the funniest/weirdest thing about your past week?

Oh my heck. the thing was that Elder Smithson threw away an empty little Sunny D bottle. It hit the side of the trash can and bounced on the floor for a while, then landed on its lid standing up. We both just looked at each other and went nuts. It was so funny and one those you couldn't do again in a million years.

Did you get the package I sent? I mailed it Wednesday.

I have not got it yet but I'll see if the mission office has it, they probably do.

Here's another family history story - it's about Grandma Hart and potatoes (it's not another Butch Cassidy one!)

Wow, I did learn something about that story and God lets us know in the coolest ways that is for sure. I really like that story, thank you for sharing it with me.

I can really feel your prayers and your thoughts, it really does mean so much to me. It's crazy. You all are the best family. I couldn't ask for more. I love you all so much. Have an amazing week.

Love Elder Reiley
