#27 Week of March 8-15, 2018

Dear Family,

What are the pictures you sent last week? Does your companion like to do ranch work? Did you like working on the tractor last week?
So the pictures I sent last time were from Raymond Gonzales ranch. We have been doing hay and we are getting close to branding cows, like hauling a ton of hay, ya, bucking it too. We were roping just to rope because we had to wait for the water to fill. and no, my companion is not a big ranch guy, but he will do it. Ya, the tractor was pretty good, I liked it.

You said you had a couple of possible investigators... who are they? How serious are they?
The news are J. and D. Gonzales. They are not too into it but the wife has had past experience with Mormons, so we are going to be seeing if we can get with her.

Ok, thank you so much for the card, that helps a ton. But ya, I have been doing great and it's all running so far.

Wow, that sounds like a heck of a week, really. Saturday sounds good too and I hope the baseball team keeps on winning. Carson took the ACT? Oh man the ACT is a beast. Last time I remember Carson shot a buck while I was doing it.

Family history story about your great grandma Hart being a teacher.
That is a sweet story, and I didn't ever recognize that all you all were teachers. That's pretty cool.

How did exchanges go?
Well, come to tell ya we did not do the exchanges this time because we were all really too busy. But we we will be doing it here again. Elder Garvin is a zone leader and he is a singer that is for sure. But he is a beast. I like him.

What did you learn at church today?
I learned that it is the small and simple things in all that we do, that really makes the difference IN everything!!!!!

Have you been able to study any of the conference talks?
So with this conference we have not had a lot of time to study, but it has been really good to listen to the  members and what their favorite talks are. But I will study some this week.

Dad wants to know if there are any big mule deer around.
There are a couple of studs that I have seen down here but of course not as many as I thought. But they are up high now. There was no winter whatsoever. It is a drought now, but there have been some big ol' bulls moving around.

What else do you want to tell us about this past week?
Well, I was going to tell you this. We had a guy this week that committed suicideHe lived up in Laguna and me and him were really close and it has been really hard for me this week. It was last Monday when it happened and it's just kinda beating me down this week. The mom, Sally is really loving towards me. She told me to tell you that she is taking care of me and thanks you for letting me be with her. She is the best out here, and just seeing her mourn for her son hit me this week. but I am staying strong.

Another thing is that I got to brand a cow this week. Just one that a guy needed done. So we roped him and I tossed him to the ground and threw a brand on him, so that made my mission right there!

Thank you for all that you do for me. Have a great week. I love you all a ton.

Elder Reiley
