#28 - April 15-21, 2018

Dear Family,

Ya I will be sure to let Sally know about that and I will do my best to get that to her. Just send it to the Cubero address where you send handwritten letters. (In reference to something I am sending to the mom of the guy that Austin knew that died last week)

I have not heard that story before, but that is so sweet. Man, they had a whole team and everything. That is one thing that I don't do much out on the rez and that is play basketball, but I can do a whole lot of other stuff. But ya, that is a awesome story. Thanks for it. (In reference to a family history story about Austin's great grandfather... missionary efforts on the basketball court in Czechoslovakia).

You have been out now for over 6 months, how have you changed since you left?
Well, I have changed in the form of really just being myself. Everyone calls me cowboy out here and I'm not complaining at all, but it is really nice to make a connection with all these people. I just figured out a couple of days ago that one lady that I know well just told me she was born in Idaho Falls. So I thought that was really cool to see that.

What is the best thing you ate this past week?
Man, the best thing I ate was 2 hamburgers that were cooked on the grill and dang, they were like 2 inches thick. Oh baby, they were good and then we had dutch oven peach cobbler with ice cream to top it all off.

What did you learn from the Book of Mormon this past week?
One thing I learned was people get really mixed up with how religion is, and that is why I think I'm out here to kinda straighten the people out here. But that is just what Alma did when he came in and saw the people saying the same prayer over and over and they thought it was right.

Did you go on exchanges this week? If so, how was that?
We did not go on exchanges this week. The zone just got switched all over the place, so now Elder Holmquist is gone, but Elder Spencer from Bonneville Idaho is here. He ran track so maybe my aunts might know him? But it is a pretty good change I don't like it a whole lot but it is a work in progress.

What else do you want to tell us about your week?
Ok, I don't remember if I told you this or not but the guy we are working for has a son in law that is... Kyle Honeyfeild. He is a professional roper so I got to shake his hand and I'm working on getting a picture. It was so cool and he is an awesome guy and we are going to brand some cows with him shortly.

Branding is coming up down here and I am so excited. We are helping the Plateros build a cow shoot and I got design most of it. That was really cool.

I love you all so much. Thank you so much for the email. It sounds like a dang good week. For Mother's Day, it will probably be in the evening sometime and it will be with the Neilsons again, so the same people from Christmas. Will will get a time this week and then let you know when it will be ok. It will be face time again.

Have an awesome week. Elder Reiley
