#60 November 18-24, 2018

Dear Family,

We are still in the temporary apartment. I don't want you to send anything here now because once we move out, then stuff will get lost or go to somebody else. But I'll try to get an address for you in the next few days. If stuff goes to the Roadrunner address, at leas other missionaries are there, so I would eventually get it. You could send stuff to the mission home and I will pick it up on the 13th or 14th when I go to zone conference. Thanks for putting money on my card, and I do have enough shoes, but I do not have a brown belt, just 2 black ones. I do have brown shoes. Man, Christmas list... Yikes, I don't know, maybe a Boot Barn gift card? I don't know... do they even make those? I need some contact solution, the red stuff. I"m down to 1 bottle. I'm good with everything else. Hey, what about a tie clip? Maybe some ties and I don't know what else. You always pull through with some great stuff, so I am not worried. But just let me know when you send it and to where. I can look at my email in the week so I can see where it goes.

The zone is pretty much the same. Nothing has really changed there, but I am trying to look for the best in it because it's what I've got right now.

How do you deal with frustration?
Frustrating experiences are brutal, but a lot of deep breaths and good music just to get away for a little bit, and to really just think about what to do.

What were 3 good things about the last week?
One was Thanksgiving. We had some good food with some really good families. Two was that some elders I like got locked out of their apartment and had to stay with us, so that was funny. Three was that I got to work a little ground work with a horse man that was really fun just to be around horses. She really is cool. Her name is Miss Debby, or that is what she goes by anyway.

This question is from President Erying... How did you see the hand of God in your life this past week?
He gave me the opportunity to have a really powerful lesson with an investigator that we have not met with in a really long time.

How was Thanksgiving?
It was really pretty cool. That was the day I got to work with the horse, so I was really pumped about that.

Thanks so much for the email. It really means a lot to have the emails come in. Thanks so much and I hope that you all will have another great week. I love you all and I hope you enjoy the cold and snow for me!

My Week:
Monday - Wow, so white sands it is like the National Park in Wyoming, but here in New Mexico and it is all just white sand. I can't believe it. I will have to send you some pictures for sure because it looks exactly like snow and it was kinda chilly in the morning, so it even felt like it, but man, it was super cool to see. We even went sledding on it. Not as fun as snow, but it is what the New Mexicans got to work with... it is their snow.

Tuesday - We did some service for a Lutheran church. Ya, it was interesting, but we got all these people and gave them a pile of food and stuff for their Thanksgiving. So it was fun to do that. We did that for about 6 hours so my legs were dead. Then we went to Roberta's and we ate there and she showed us some of her jewelry.

Wednesday - We had a lesson with Christina and it turned out to be pretty good. Then we went to do a bunch of referrals, but it did not end the best because we burnt some miles and literally nobody was home. But then we got to go to volleyball with Ozzy and we played some really good ball, so I was happy about that. Then we got to have another steak dinner so I am loving those.

Thursday was Thanksgiving. We had a lunch deal with Christina and her sisters; that was some good food. Then we went to Miss Debbie's and we did some work with her horse, so that was interesting, but heck, I loved it. That is how you make your Thanksgiving memorable. Then we had dinner with her, then drove all the way across town to another dinner and we ate good there. It was super good to have that in a huge house with some sweet people, the Heiners. Then we got out and went to another dinner. Holy cow! I could have killed a cat if one of my buttons would have popped off!

Friday - District council - yikes... those things are so brutal, really it is the exact same thing every time. Then we were supposed to have a lesson with Suzie ant Don's and she didn't show up, but while we waited we threw pecans at doves and we actually got a few of them, so that was fun. Then we had to do some weekly planning and had dinner, so not the most exciting, but not too bad either.

Saturday - we had Roberta for lunch and man, that lady can cook and I mean cook! We ate chicken and hot dogs but like honey smoked chicken and deep fried BBQ dogs. Man it was good. Then we helped her set up her Christmas decorations. Then we tried contacting a few people and we then went to dinner and ate spaghetti and it was pretty good stuff. Then we went to the Shadow Box and had a few good lessons there. Then we finally got to have that great lesson with Steven.

Sunday was church and roasting marshmallows and dinner and people to contact so Sundays are hard, but for the most part we make them work.

Well that was my week. I hope that you all have another great one. Love you all, and I am getting a box all ready for your Christmas. Wait until Christmas when you get it, just put it under the tree until then and then read the letter out loud to everyone when you open it.

I love you all.

Elder Reiley
