#67 January 6-12 2019

Hey it sounds like a big week. Good grief, that is a pretty big week though and it sounds like everyone had an event that made it a good week. Some weeks are packed with stuff and others have none at all. As far as a package if you send one to me, I need some of that contact stuff, the red lid stuff, but I think I'm doing good for now. Ya, the phone had a bunch of pictures on it but it was not working so I have this loaner phone for now.

Do you study mostly electronically or the actual scriptures? What do you like best and why?
I always study on the hard copies just because every other missionary only brings their phone and it is just sad to see that people are giving up their copies and just using the phone, so I am always going to use the old fashioned kind.

Have you had any experiences the last few weeks where you really felt the influence of the Holy Ghost?
A time that I really felt the holy ghost was last Saturday when we had a baptism. Just having a baptism makes it all good to have that boost.

What have you learned this week?
I have learned to prepare for a time when the spirit is really going to be there.

What is your favorite hymn?
Praise to the Man because we sang it like every time in opening exercises.

It really sounds like you had a great experience with teaching Sunday. I love it when you can get stuff like that. Makes you know that Heavenly Father is right there for us always.

So my week:
Monday - We went and got lunch at Subway and then we went to the church and we played a little basketball with what we had there. Then we had a dinner with a family and it was weird and just kinda awkward.

Tuesday - We had interviews. They went well, it is just the same thing everytime. Then we went to lunch and then we had our studies and a few stop-byes. Then we went to Cracker Barrel with some Tennessee people with a lot of Southern drawl. Then we played some good basketball, so that was really nice to play.

Wednesday - We had service and we had to take a bus to the place. That was super weird first time being on a city bus, but we had a pretty good time. Holy cow, I went into a homeless bathroom. Yikes. Last time I go into that bathroom. Wow, that was bad. HaHa, but then we had lunch at McDonalds and we watched a lady drink a monster that she never had before, that was funny.

Thursday - We built a lot of stuff then we did some weekly planning... yikes. We had dinner with the Jenson family and they are pretty cool. Oh ya, so Brother Waltz is a guy we talked to and he is from Rexburg and he just told me that the radio towers where me and Tel rode our dirt bikes is where he proposed. He knows Brent Douglass, so that was cool.

Friday - District council was a spirit bomb and the girls cried - ya, it was bad. We had a lesson in a creepy motel. Ya, it was kinda rundown and we just did our best. Then we went to dinner and they had a little dog that I almost killed. Wow, that is a little spoiled dog, that hates me and I don't care because I hate it too.

Saturday - We had a baptism that was good. Our water heater busted in our apartment so we had to try to fix that. Then we were late so we had to fill the font with pitchers of water. We got it all done, but it was just kinda hectic. Then we got Dions pizza with some elders and then we got some spicy enchiladas, ya, that was brutal. I was dying.

Sunday - It was a rainy day. We went to church, studies, lunch and then we had dinner at the Atkins and we got through it. Then we had call ins at the church

Not too bad of a week. I'll take it. I hope you all have a great next week.
