#73 February 17-23, 2019

Hey Family,

What do you do to find people to teach? How do you prepare yourself each day for that "finding process?"
So to find people to teach we pray in the morning and I try to stay in tune with the spirit, so I know what and where to go. Then just pick a random place and go to work.

You said that faith and charity are attributes of Christ that keep you in tune with the spirit... how do you use faith each day? How do you use charity each day?
I use faith by knowing that there is someone I need to find each day and that Heavenly Father is going to put him in my path. Or I'll go to his. And Charity is great because of the people that don't want to hear it and they are rude. And I have to hold everything back from giving them a beating. Charity runs through my mind and calms me down.

What are two things you appreciate about your companion?
2 things are that well, I am really understanding patience like none other. Really, he is teaching me that. Then I see that he has his problems too and so do I. They are not the same so you see that with a lot of people where you know they are going through something but you still have to live with it.

Holy cow! I saw that snow! Man, I miss that so much. I want to be in the middle of it so bad, because I know that next year it is going to be 0 snow, I can feel it!  Fishing sounds good and baseball, man, I miss that too. Then basketball too. And Stinking Sugar won wrestling, give me a break. Oh man, Annalea I feel so bad for her, but she will get through it and she is for sure in my prayers. The pup, man, it makes me laugh that Honey doesn't like her and doesn't look at her. I can totally see her doing that. I am excited now. I will for sure pray for Grandma and Grandpa Hart and I hope that it all goes well. Boy this week sounded pretty good, really, the snow might have been the best part. Man, that is not fair. But I hope this week goes well and that nobody gets hurt. Love you!

My week.
Monday -So I might have my weeks mixed up here, but it is that we went to Denny's and had $4 all you can eat pancakes, that was super good, then we went to an escape room and it was great... hard but good too. They are tough, but with 4 of us we set the best time so far they have had there. How? I have no clue but we did. I guess you mix smart people with red-necking stuff and it makes a big difference. Then we went back and played some basketball, but nobody knows how to play - literally nobody, so that is tough. So we played some intense dodge ball instead so I guess it was no the end of the world.

Tuesday - We did a pile of contacting and we drove around so much it was scary. But we did find a few people, so it was super nice to have that. Then I had maybe the best dinner of my mission. We went to a native guy's house and he made some bomb steaks. Holy cow, they were so good. They were like an inch and a half thick, then with baked potatoes and then grilled corn and just a pile of great stuff. It was the best thing ever. IT was so good, it felt like I was back home. Then to top it all off, we went to the church and ran and played basketball, sot hat was not fun, but my competitive side took over and I could barely feel anything.

Wednesday - We did our weekly homeless shelter service and served lunch. That is pretty good. I did see a girl get in a little chick fight, and it was funny to watch. Boy, then we went back to contacting and then  a really nice member took us to Taco Cabanna and I got breakfast and he gave me so much grief for it. It is like a Mexican place, then I went and got some good basketball in with a bunch of street ballers, so it was pretty fun to play with those guys.

Thursday -  We did another food bank deal where we helped people with food again and that was ok. Then we went to Sister S and watched a movie... The Anvngers! HaHa, I'm kidding. We watched a movie called the young Messiah, so that was fun because it was like a total relief society because it was all the ladies and she invited us. It was good. Then we had a dinner... meatless lasagna. Ya, weird, right? It was bad because the lady is kinda a tree hugger and doesn't like meat a lot so I managed to gag it down, but I'll tell ya, it was not easy. Then we got to go and play some volleyball.

Friday - District council was the same deal, but I do have a pretty sweet district, so I am ok with it. Then we went on exchanges  and I went down to to home . It is literally nothing, just open for miles and it reminds me a lot of the desert where we hunt sage grouse. And to be honest I would rather serve there than I would here in the city, but it is all good. We had Taco Bell for dinner and man, it wrecked me.  I've been there twice in my life and it has been brutal both time. so I am not going there again, it had its chance! Then I did not feel too bad because it dumped here and it was super wet snow but it reminded me of a snow storm back home. Elder Star if from Wyoming so we were both soaking it up pretty hard.

Saturday - It was freezing cold. The wind blew on top of the wet snow too, so it was so miserably cold. It was bad, but inside I kinda liked it. But I had a good workout and then we did studies and we exchanged back and did a little more contacting and then we went to a dinner with the Padock family. The mom totally is a spitting image of Aunt Renae. It is scary and I swear they are twins, like personality and everything. It is hilarious.

Sunday - We had church and the bishop totally chewed out the ward for not doing missionary work, so that was cool. He is one of the best bishops. Then we had lunch and did a pile of contacting and knocking doors. Not much really happened. You would think I would totally have some more stuff being in the downtown Albuquerque, but no... nothing yet. Then we went back and made some dinner of mac and cheese... no, not just any, we went hard and made one of the best. Not as good as dad's or grandpa's, but it was super good. I was literally craving some of grandpa's clam chowder, Man I still am. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

But that is it for my week. Not too bad, but I think it is going to start warming up, so wish me luck. I love you all so much and I hope you have a great week.
