What is one good lesson from the Book of Mormon?
HaHa, that first question yikes, there are too many. One of my favorites is don't be stupid because it will catch up with you in the end and if it's not you, it might be your future generations.
Finish the sentence: Obedience = ________________. Explain why you think that.
Blessings, but exact obedience brings miracles. That means you do all you can all you have in the tank every day and the Lord will bless you with miracles. Every day you can't be perfect but you can get pretty dang close.
What is the best experience of your week?
Basketball was my favorite because I am making too many non member friends and even though they know I'm a missionary, they don't care and I had one of the best nights of ball I have ever had.
What was the worst part of your week? How did you get through it?
The worst was no big news... not a ton of progress. But that is just one week, and I tell myself to work harder next week and the next and the Lord will bless me and lift me up no matter how stinking bad I get hit to the ground.
Man, this week sounds pretty good. ya, I figured that baseball would be inside and that's bad to hear but it sounds like it will be a decent year. I'm glad you are in the winter sports time; I really like this time of year. But dang, just 7 more mom and guess what? :) but I'll get off that. Thank you for telling me about grandpa Hart and I will keep him in my prayers. He is tougher than nails and so are you so it will be alright. Love you.
My week:
Monday - Football, holy cow - I am so sore it would scare ya! It was so fun. We played flag football and I was super happy. I can't tell you how much I miss football. Then we hung out at the church and played basketball then we got to have a big pizza dinner and it was okay.
Tuesday - Well Elder Carter got sick this time and we were inside pretty much all day so I was hating it there! :) But we did go to get dinner and Sister Shaw is super funny. Her kids were sick and she didn't want us to get sick so she just tossed us her credit card from the top window of her house and it was great. Then we went to Golden Corral and that was a treat. Then we went and played basketball; it was pretty fun.
Wednesday - We did hour homeless shelter again and it was ok. Same thing happens almost every time. I haven't seen a fight in a while so we should be due for one any time. :) Then we contacted a few people and had a dinner. It was some weird chicken salad, but on a bun. Ya, I can see your reaction... it had like grapes and mayo and stuff in it. It was different for sure. Ho man, then we had basketball. So out of the 4 of us missionaries out here, I am the only one who plays, but I don't care. It was great.
Thursday - Interviews. They were ok. I have gotten used to them; it is the same thing every time. Then we did our weekly planning and had a couple of lessons and then we went to a Mexican restaurant and you should be so proud. I tried red and green chili on a hamburger steak. She brought it out and I was like I ordered the steak and she was like ya, it's there but that poor steak was smothered that poor steak in the chili so I ate it. It kinda but it did go down. :) Then we went and balled up on volleyball. It was pretty good, but not the best ball but not bad either. Ok, it was bad, but I can't say anything.
Friday - So I did my district council and it was bomb. I loved it and they did too. Then we had a lesson with Samantha. She has some deal that makes her slow so it is hard to teach but we make it work. Then we got lost. We were out of the area and we were totally lost. We tried to get back but that didn't work out the best we did eventually, but still, you can put me in the forest wherever and I can get out, but in the city, with buildings yikes, I can't do squat. Then we had a lesson with some members and really felt the spirit; one of those you say this is why I served even if it is with members. Then we got root beer floats!
Saturday - We played hockey in the morning. Ya that was fun, nobody can really play, but it was still fun. Then Elder Carter got sick again, then we went to the Browns and it was crazy. They are a monster family and we ate with them, and man, it was a crazy night!! Then we had a lesson with the Barrots and it was ok. They are kinda crazy, but at the same time they are really funny.
Sunday - Fast Sunday, so we fasted all day and then at the evening, we contacted a few people with a little interest, but nothing too big. Then we went to dinner and I kid you not, the guy had BBQ RIBS!! Ya for fast Sunday like meal that would scare you! It was so amazing. The Castillo family, and they can cook like none other. Oh ya, then get this... we had both rezes at our apartment. Man it was awesome. Alamo Holmquist and Manser and Winn and Mortenson. They are all super cool. I got a native blanket and it was super fun. I'll take a picture and send it to you.
But ya, that is my week. It was not bad. I didn't email yesterday because we had a zone conference all day so I am doing it today. But I hope that this next week will go good for you all. Have a good week.
