That week is brutal with sports being super tough, but they can be good and bad too. It is good that they had a good year and that makes me happy. I'm glad that you guys got to look through pictures, I totally remember my magic ball. Haha. There are a pile of pictures you can have to make memories. That's what I am trying to do with my mission now.
What do you think about the announcement about calling/texting/face-timing on your -day?
So for the call deal, heck, I don't know. if I'll call every p-day but I will do it sometimes. President Guffey said it's up to us so we will see how that goes. I mean, it's not bad but I probably won't do it every time.
What was the hardest thing about your week?
I'm hanging in there with my companion and we just come from opposite sides and I am just trying to stay patient, but s real work in progress. But I'm doing good.
What was the best thing about your week?
We found a new investigator!! It's not very often we get one here in Ladera.
What is one attribute of Jesus Christ that you think about often?
Faith and charity are ones I like to think about because they really keep me in tune with the spirit.
Yep, I'll do my best this week. Keep praying for me, it's a little rough not, but it will get better for sure. Thanks for all that you do for me. I hope that you have another good week. I love you all.
My week:
Monday - We emailed and then we went and got lunch and then we got to play some basketball and dodge ball, and man, my arm sure isn't what it used to be! Then we came back and had dinner with the Palmers. They are ok and real big into video games, so Elder Carter got along real good.
Tuesday- We did some service a a senior center. We gave out a lot of beans and stuff like that. Ya, kinda slow. Then we went out and tried contacting a few people. That was o and we got a couple of people with interest. Then we had dinner with Dan. He is super awesome. Then I got to go play some basketball with Brother Waltz.
Wednesday - We did our service at the homeless shelter. Then we contacted a guy named Ricky. It was great. I thought it was going to be super awkward, but he was working on his truck and I haven't got my hands dirty in a long time. So I didn't really ask, I just dove in and he was fixing his bearings. They are a pain, but we ended up fixing them and I got dirty and that felt good. Then he offered a beer and I was like, huh? Missionaries just got offered a beer. I was like naw man, I am good and he said "oh, you look like a drinker". I stood there like wow, ok that's a first! But he let us in after and we talked a little. We ended up having a Sunkist instead, so it was better anyways.
Thursday - Studies, weekly plan and then contacted a few people. We had to drop a bunch because people weren't into it so we are starting over pretty much. Then we went to dinner and then played a little volleyball, so that felt really good to have.
Friday we had a big meeting with Elder Robbins of the Seventy. It was just the leadership in the mission, so we had a big meeting about the culture and the missionaries and just a pile of stuff. Then after that we went back and had a taco dinner and then did some family history.
Saturday - Well another day today was at MLC. We just talked about what we can do as leadership in the mission to make it better. I was one big meeting. The best part was lunch because we had a big ol' potato bar. Man, I had like 5 of those suckers. they were super good. Then we contacted a few people. We tracted a trailer park and found a couple of new people to teach, so that was good. Then we had dinner with the Armstrong family, they are pretty cool.
Sunday - We went to church and we had a good time there. Two hours is actually pretty nice.
Love, Elder Reiley
