What is one thing you learned from your most recent zone conference? How are you applying it in your life?
I found that in the zone conference you always have to be finding not just looking, but finding in all that you do. It really does make the difference.
What do you do to find happiness every day?
I find happiness when I know that Satan is trying to win and I am not going to let him, so when I'm on top, I'm happy.
What was the best food you ate this past week?
Probably a young couple's spaghetti. It is so good and I enjoyed it a lot because they think we get it a lot, but actually we don't so it is really good when you do.
If you only had one sentence to convince someone that the Book of Mormon is true, what would you say?
I would say that this book has brought me more joy and the knowing of what to do in this life and I know it can do the same for you.
It sounds like the week went pretty slow. Mine for sure did, but those happen a lot in life. :) But ya, I will keep you all in my prayers. For the package, send it to the mission office... I don't trust my apartment deal.
My week:
Monday was zone conference. Man it was ok, not too bad. I had like 3 old companions and it was pretty good, but that took a while, but then we went to dinner at the bishop's house and he is so awesome. Then we helped another area find a little bit and then called it a night.
Tuesday - Nothing much happened. We played volleyball with the zone and yikes... not the best ball, but it was still fun. We went to a Mexican restaurant with Dan. He is awesome. The food was different, but the conversation we had was the best.
Wednesday - So Elder Carter was sick again so we were inside all day. I literally sat in all day and just built stuff and studied, so that was a bust, but I did drag him to basketball... my mistake because I rolled my ankle super bad. It looks so good;). I'm good though.
Thursday - We had studies and that weekly planning and then we went everywhere in the area and burnt some miles just trying to find people. Yikes... it was a killer day because we did not get much, but it was still good because we got seen a lot. We had a bomb dinner with a young couple and they did a good job on some spaghetti, then we went to volleyball. That is a joke because some of the Mexican ladies were having a meeting in there, so we could not even go in and I was like... hey, just get another room, there are not that many of you! Oh well.
Friday - No district council because of zone conference, so we went with a member in our ward and it was good. We gave a blessing to a girl in a hotel for some big band deal, so that was interesting. HaHa. There were a bunch of Chinese people looking at us and I was looking back and it was awkward; there were a bunch of them. But then we just contacted a bunch of less active members and we did pretty good. Nobody's really interested, but still they were nice and we found a bunch of them. Then we had dinner at Dan's again. It was fun, he has 2 border collies and they are super fun to play with.
Saturday - We had basketball in the morning and that was ok. I still got a bad ankle, but heck, it was alright to play on. It didn't hurt that bad. Then we went and contacted forever. We met this guy that I had to shake his hand through a screen window and I couldn't see his face so that was weird. Then this lady answered the door and we asked if so and so was there and she sad ya, just one sec, and we stood at ther porch like 30 minutes and it was a joke... she just kinda bumped us off, so I was a little mad after that. But then we had Dions for dinner...some pizza place that was really good. The family was a little strange, but still, most of them are! Then we have to watch these safety videos for the mission and it's called the safety zone so we were watching the electricity one and it showed the deal with Colt Kunz and the family. It was hard to watch, but still it was good to see home a little bit.
Sunday Elder Carter woke up sick and we stayed inside all day. Holy Cow. I am getting sick of it it. Man being inside just kills. So we were inside, then went and got dinner... taco soup with no meat. Ya, it as nasty. Then I had to come to the church to do call ins, so it was ok I guess. Kinda a slow day, but it was ok.
So that was my week. Hope you all had a great one too. Love ya
Elder Reiley
