Dear Family,
Man, it sounds like a lot of good stuff is going on back home. Nice that Jax came up, and that's good that Carson is doing IDLA, even though it is a killer. That's funny that you found my order on a paper in there. I could use a nice chicken sandwich, fries and a drink, 6.90 with 10 cents back.
Thanks for the scriptures, they are awesome and I love them a lot. They are really powerful when you really think about it, thank you again. That really means the world to me, I could really feel your prayers too.You are extremely the best ever.
What are your responsibilities as District Leader?
As a district leader I am over 2 other companionships. They are both sisters, so they tell me I'm over the relief society. HaHa. It's an inside joke. But I have to get a bunch of information and make sure they are keeping their goals and really to just take care of them. And it is rough because they are super young in the mission like the one that is the oldest in the mission is 5 months, so we are all really young.
Who are the branch presidents that you work with?
President Carrol is the president in Tohajilee, and President Barber was the president in Tohajiilee but just got released. President Begay is over Laguna.
How is your new companion?
So Elder Smithson is from Oregon. He has been out about a year, does band, kinda tall, really hard worker. Talks, but he is a real good guy. I like him. So the picture you got was from the Plateros, she loves sending you stuff like that.
Are you writing in your journal?
Yes, I write in my journal every night, haven't missed yet. But my trainer and other missionaries teach me a lot of stuff so I am sure to write that stuff down. But ya, learning a ton of stuff out here. It is crazy but good.
How was your church? Do you have regular block schedule and do you have to do a lot of the responsibilities at church?
Church was real good in Tohajiilee. We had to give talks on being humble and more charitable, and in both branches we bless, prepare and pass the sacrament, so it all kinda works out.
What have you learned this past week?
I have really learned that no matter how hard something is you have to hit your knees and pray like crazy, with all of this being put on the top of my head, I've been really kinda shaky about it all, but with your prayers and really praying out here, I feel better. So, really just trusting.
What do you look forward to this next week?
This next week I am looking forward to my first district training, where I give like a 20-30 minute talk on how to do something. It's this Friday for the district and zone, so I hope that all works out.
What do you admire most about the people your are serving?
Oh man the people really just love me for who I am and they really respect us for being out here. They say if my kids were out there, I would want them to be treated good too. So they really take care of me, that's why I love them. And they are Indians, so you got to love that. :)
Who is someone from your mission so far that you will never forget? Why?
Right now would be Anthony Peters, he is a cattle rancher and man, I love that guy so much. He is one of a kind and so funny. He literally told us to go in to his house when we want and just eat, but we haven't done that. But he really is just a stud.
Thank you so much for the email it really does brighten up my week and wants me to do more, so I thank yo for that. I love you all so much and hope that you have a great too. Can't wait till next Monday. Love you all a ton!
Love, Elder Reiley
